Creative Australia is introducing a new Giving Day to the Arts in 2025, designed to support artists and arts organisations to fundraise on one national day.

Through creating a nation-wide groundswell, the introduction of the Giving Day to the Arts aims to elevate the public value of the arts in the consciousness of everyday Australians and to increase the donor pool in support of Australian creativity.

The initiative will provide micro-grants to artists and small to medium art organisations to support content creation for the digital aspects of their fundraising campaigns.

These micro-grants will be complemented by a series of online workshops and coaching sessions accessible to artists and arts organisations of any size to support them to develop the knowledge and confidence to maximise their fundraising campaigns.

Australian artists or arts organisations who are not eligible or awarded a micro-grant through the program are welcome to participate in running an independent campaign, with access to Creative Australia’s advertising assets and fundraising capability services and programs – enabling whole-of-sector participation.

Participants will have access to a supplier list of localised content creators. The supplier list will assist artists and arts organisations to engage with relevant localised expertise beyond their existing networks. Engaging with relevant local content creators will support participants to design and amplify their fundraising efforts and enhance community engagement in their fundraising campaign.

Get involved

We are seeking content creators from around Australia who are interested in participating in National Giving Day to the Arts. All suppliers listed will need to comply with privacy and security guidelines to ensure confidentiality and the protection of participant information.

We acknowledge the many Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and honour their Elders past and present.

We respect their deep enduring connection to their lands, waterways and surrounding clan groups since time immemorial. We cherish the richness of First Nations Peoples’ artistic and cultural expressions.

We are privileged to gather on this Country and through this website to share knowledge, culture and art now, and with future generations.

First Nations Peoples should be aware that this website may contain images or names of people who have died.
